Please join us Thursday, June 14, at the usual time (7:30pm) and place, 255 W. 105th St, #21 for a talk on “Powerful Viking Women”.
Tamara will present a lecture on the strong, bold (nasty?) women of the Viking Age. Come and learn about some excellent role models!
Handout is available as a PDF download; Tamara will also have hard-copies available for $2.
Please join us Thursday, May 10th, at the usual time (7:30pm) and place, 255 W. 105th St, #21 for a class on Project Management for A&S Projects (as taught by your humble correspondent).
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the size of your to-do pile? Or stopped working on something halfway through, picked it up six months later, and had no idea where you left off or why? Or have to suddenly coordinate all the pieces of regalia for a peerage? Come learn about some simple, straightforward, and free techniques to help keep your projects organized and moving forward.
The topics for the next several months of Solars have been determined! Further details will be posted as we get closer to time.
May 10th: “Project Management Techniques for A&S Projects”
June 14th: “Powerful Viking Women”
July 12th: Pre-Pennsic sewing-fest (with Commons to follow)
The minutes from the April Commons meeting are available for viewing.
The next scheduled Commons is Thursday, July 12th. (But Evenings in the Solar will continue in the interim!)
Please join us next Thursday, April 12, for a Commons meeting and a recorder schola. Come for the business, stay for musical fun!
Agenda items for the Commons include details for the upcoming Picnic in the Ruins event; reports and “paperwork” and all that good stuff now that the Kingdom migration to Google is complete; discussion of bylaws (like, “should we have some of our own”); and trolling for deputy officer volunteers.
The A&S portion to follow will be a recorder schola taught by Magistra Rufina Cambrensis and Master John Elys. There will be some spare recorders available. Make a joyful noise!
We will be at the usual location, 255 W. 105th St., #21. Commons will begin at 7pm, and the schola will follow.
